Working on the Creation and Rebel Angels with Lucifer questioning God. I went in to watch the rehearsals for just an hour or so, and I could hear the rehearsals from the car park, the diction, the power in the text and the emotion resonated. I was immediately drawn into the act, and although in the early stages for this play, you feel involved and part of it, as well as hanging on every word of the actors. I was so impressed with how this is looking, sounding and feeling.
Some promotion shots taken for the cast of the Medieval Mystery Plays and how wonderful to think that in just 2 weeks you can come and watch the rehearsals in action during the day as you come and visit the castle. To attend the plays please come along at 6pm 25, 26 and 27 August booking via the castle box office.
Peter Beck our writer and director has been locked away at the UEA, library and archive library looking at resources, historical documents and copies of Medieval Mystery Plays for the last 2 months, and we now have his work ready for the actors on Monday 8th who will be starting rehearsals.
Lucia is making the Tree of Life for our Mystery Plays. Lucia has a huge wealth of experience in set design and prop making and it's great to have her on the team. You can see the tree finished in our plays at the Castle Keep on 25, 26th and 27th August.
