I learnt why they built the Castle on a hill. It's because they can look down on the market to see if anyone is causing any trouble and they also built it on a hill so that it is harder for the Anglo-Saxons to invade.    Rebecca

I never knew much about medieval times. I didn't know the Guildhall was medieval. Also about Elm Hill.    Izzy

I learnt lots of facts about medieval Norwich I didn't know before. For example, I learned that Norwich had a church for every week of the year. I also didn't know that people used to put on mystery plays.    Thomas

In 1067 the Castle was made of wood and in 1066 the Battle of Hastings happened and the Normans took over and invaded Britain.    Alfie

I never knew the Guildhall was called that and that it is so important.    Joshua

I did not know that in the medieval period they put on religious mystery plays for the villagers of the city.    Oliver

I learned that the Normans built lots of landmarks like the Guildhall, the Castle, Norwich Cathedral and Bishop's Bridge.    Elijah

I was wondering how the poor lived and now I know. We even learned about what different jobs they had, such as: baker, tailor, blacksmith and loads more.    Danah
